About the role:

The Rail Maintenance team is currently seeking a Technician Track Welder to join them on a 14 Days on, 14 Days off Roster based at Port Hedland. Reporting to the Supervisor Track Delivery, you will be responsible for providing Rail Infrastructure welding capability to the wayside team, within planned and reactive maintenance activities.


Duties:

  • Carry out various welding technologies to ensure consistent and accurate maintenance of the track
  • Monitor asset performance against the required level of reliability and availability and provide recommendations as appropriate
  • Ensure Quality compliance with regulatory standards, engineering design and statutory compliance
  • Apply risk management processes and safety systems of work to all areas of work and duties

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Current Manual Driving License
  • Certificate II in Rail Infrastructure at minimum
  • Nationally recognised Trade Certificate
  • Experience and proficiency of rail and track equipment welding and flash butt welding
